Asa's not sure how many more things can go wrong today, but he's about ready to call it quits halfway through and just walk home. Maybe spend time with the cats instead. He takes a longer break than normal from the library to step into Brewed Awakening and get a coffee - but there's a long line, and as he gets behind a taller man and bounces on the balls of his feet, he can see a few of the regular patrons of the library just ahead. Of the annoying, demanding, elderly kind.
He can't help but step a bit behind the larger man he's already in line behind, and says in a quiet Irish brogue: "If I'm using you as a hiding spot, it's only because Paula McGully is two people ahead, and she's asked me to get more books on swans and I really don't know if there's many more we can realistically get for the library, plus she's so, so rude about it..." He rambles tiredly, clearly needing the coffee he's waiting for.
