A Tale of Frayed Gold Series
Evie/Alec, Shadow-Mates Moodboard.
“They’re shadow-mates. They were destined. Therefore, where one shadow went; the other would surely follow…” -A Tale of Frayed Gold
Alexander G. Lightwood and Evangeline J. Herondale designed by the angel, Raziel, in his image to be mates. They never held the capacity to love anyone else the way they loved each other. Her Alec and his Evie had the Truest of love; even for shadow-mates. There was no other for either of them.
“I don’t wanna know who
we are without each other.
It’s just to hard.
I don’t wanna leave here
without you.”
He’d frozen in awe of the angelic beauty, who bared his name on her right collar-bone. Ample amounts of loosely curled, gold and silver, hair that never seemed to end, and skin that he was certain could glow under any lighting. He whispered a ten letter name. At the sound of his voice; her eyes, the color of liquid gold, snapped to his. She’d never laid eyes on such a gorgeous man. His lagoon blue eyes and luscious dark locks. His strong jawline and sharp cheekbones could cut diamonds; with sloping cheeks that held the whispers of beautiful dimples. He bared her name on his left collarbone. His voice had a husky deepness that made her weak in the knees. In response, to his gentle statement, she breathed a nine letter name into the night’s air. At the sound of her voice, that was surely created from hymns of the heavens; he smiled widely at her. Her eyes shined with a love and happiness she didn’t know she was capable of possessing until now.
He knew in that exact moment that he would do anything to keep those, seemingly bottomless, golden pools shining forever. Forever and ever…and ever.
She knew in that exact moment that she would do anything to see that smile again. Again and again…and again.
“I don’t wanna know;
what it’s like to live without you.
I don’t wanna know;
the other side of the world without you.”
