As of today, three well-known, clean-cut blogs have either been taken down or are in the process of being taken down. To the best of my understanding, none of these blogs were given any significant margin of warning before the “inevitable,” or the chance to rationally and fairly defend their actions without going to court. Additionally, none of the blogs were well-known, or known at all, for art theft, or for posting of the art of other individuals without permission or consent. In fact, according to similar bloggers, it has been commonplace for any such blog to willingly take down art without a fight at the immediate request of the artist. It is consensus amongst the subsection Tumblr community aware of the situation that the actions committed against these blogs were spiteful, generally misleading, and carried out with the explicit intention of having them removed, rather than the protection of the artists behind their posts. Yet, the blogs were still taken down.
Digressing for a moment, I am a lifeguard.
If I had the same track record of failure that you currently have, I would have three dead bodies on my hands every fucking day.
Just to be clear, that’s the sort of establishment you’re running here on Tumblr, correct?
