It's not summer anymore, but I still had a few of these I wanted to do before I had to do the commission run. (I still have four to go with those and I can get back to the comic!) So this time around, I thought it'd be nice to check in on our old antagonist from Shadowgirls, Mistletoe Snow. I've had a story in mind for her for the past year I've been wanting to tell and I'm hoping that after Stargazer Apogee's first book wraps up... I'll get that chance. Since the Nightjar comic is gonna be handled a little differently than a typical ongoing, she'll get her own project. (Though she'll be popping up as a cameo in Stargazer Apogee soon in the most unexpected of all places!) Yeah, I know it sounds like I'm getting in over my head with multiple books and stuff... But believe it or not, I actually have this pretty well planned out!

Continuing along with the Summer OC cheesecakes, since it's damn hot, I thought I'd do Becka next here. And the good news is that we have the premise, format and all the final details needed to start working on the Patreon exclusive comic here. *sigh* No, it's not a tentacle hentai. I promise. Format will be a slew of short stories, with Becka as the central protagonist. Think like the Dresden Files... Except you know, with my dumb sense of humor. Becka is now a 25 year old Oceanographer living in New Orleans, with her friends Esther and Wink. Being New Orleans tends to bring out the darker side of the supernatural underworld. Fortunately, they have a Shadowchild living there now. It will be a B&W series, which I think will work out awesomely. It's an idea I've been wanting to do for a while now, and this gives me the opportunity to try it out. For matter, the tone will be a lot darker than Stargazer Apogee. If SA is like a Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, this is the Netflix section of the Dangerlemur universe. For the most part, it'll be light R-rated. (Yes, I'm well aware how in other countries the taboo on nudity is not as strict as it is in the United States... But I'm also having to conform with various rules and regulations of multiple websites. Basically, if you can't see it on Daredevil or Jessica Jones, you won't see it here.) I'm going to test it out with a proof of concept short four pager first, and then go from there. If you're a Patron of my Patreon, you'll depending on the Tier you're at, you'll get to see the comic as it's getting made, or at least before it's live on the web. The higher tiers will be able to suggest story ideas and concepts to work into it. But if you can't or just don't wanna... You will eventually get to read them.

So basically for fun, I'm creating my own Official Handbook of the Dangerlemur Universe, giving entires to all the major characters that exist in this universe, writing up entires and developing past histories and stories for characters that either had their own stories (Ultragirl), had adventures that no one got to see (Charon), laid the groundwork fro adventures to come (Becka), and is currently having their own story going on. (Stargazer.) I'm also redefining older characters of mine from like... Years and years ago, going back to when I was in college doing fanzines and ashcan minicomics. It also helps sort details out, and if anyone else who decides to play in this universe, they'll have a guideline to how it all works. Not gonna lie, this is a shitload of fun for me. :) Also Nightjar (Becka), Charon and Ultragirl were all digitally inked and there's something about how the lineart turned out with this as opposed to how it turned out last time I digitally inked that I really love. I think I'm gonna start gearing more toward this. (Though Transformer artwork will still be traditionally inked, just because the complexity is easier for me by traditional pen.)
