Monster Family Prompt 20#
You are an orphan who used to live in a house that was never sold because of its 'haunting things'. Everyone said that it was filled with ghosts and another scary things, but you never saw anything there, and you were living in that place for some months.
The thing that most made you curious (and surprised), was to notice that everyday, the table of the kitchen was filled with things for you to eat, but you never cared too much because at least you wouldn't be starving.
Your room was also pretty cool. You had your bed, blankets, a good pillow and even fluffy blankets for the cold days. It was the best life you had and nobody would say the opposite.
One day, you find out who, or better say 'what', was doing all of that for you:
Your mysterious 'angel' was nothing else than a shadow monster. He couldn't talk, but still you two talked a lot through his messages, and he told you that he bought the house, and you were living there as his guest.
You weren't alone or anything like that, someone was taking care of you the whole time, and he even bought you Christmas gift as you were his friend/child.
No need to say that you started to care about him once you found out the truth.
Your father was a shadowmonster, and you loved him even tough he wasn't related by blood
