I decided to start Inktober and am combining the daily theme with scenes and images from Justin D’ath’s really cool YA(?) novel Shaedow Master. Bit of a rare find outside AU I guess. If you haven’t read it, I would recommend giving it a go, you can probably find it real cheap anywhere nowadays. If you like your relevant social class and conservation themes wrapped in a shiny little package, go for it.
Word: Poison. Damn it, Quickwater lake. They know not yet what thou art, lol.
“He needed a drink. Leaning over the side of the boat, the prince gasped. The water- the lake- was black! Perhaps it was the light; the sun was yet to rise. Cautiously, the prince dipped his hand into the black lake, cupped his fingers and lifted them back out. The water was clear in his hand, like ordinary water, but when he raised it to his lips and took a sip it sent a chill through his teeth and tasted bitter.“- Shaedow Master by Justin D’ath
