Character profile : Shahari

· Name: Shahari · Species:  Draenei · Gender:  Female · Age:  Middle-aged

· In-Game Class: Mage (Arcane spec) · IC Class:  Battle Mage (Arcane/fire)

· Overview: A calm and composed woman with little expression but seems to be mostly kind.

· Physical Description: 

She’s reasonably tall (2m15), with a really pale blue skin and a mane of jet black hair, that she often color in blue. Long horns that go on each side of the head, often decorated with jewelry. Shahari is an athletic person with well-drawn muscles. She wore gold jewelry more often than silver, and her back and shoulders are tattooed. One shoulder for her birth-world, the other for Draenor and the back for the Naarus.

If she may be considered as beautiful, it will be the cold beauty of a statue, with which she share the coldness of face and the pallor of stone. The face is unmarred, but there’s a swollen scar running from her collar bone to the low part of her ribs

· Aesthetics:  She love to wear bright colors, darker than her skin, or black. Often soft fabrics, that she embroidered herself. Casual-wear is well tailored and pretty, most of the time with jewelry.

Armor is a draenei armor, soft ‘plate’ with crystals. Worn with an Aldor tabard.

· Personality: 

Shahari is a calm and reserved person, that don’t really attire attention except for her size when in a crowd. She’s pretty patient with the younger races of Azeroth, as long as they don’t try to touch her too often. (From what she had seen of Stormwind, humans are far too often prone to hugs even strangers) She intensely dislike having her personal space invaded by someone less than a close friend, and even with them shows of affection are more frequently an hand on the shoulder than something more ‘touching’.

Her anger is a cold thing, slow to come and as slow to stop. It can turn violent in certain occasions (say orcs). She’s not searching for conflict, but won’t back down if pushed to it or in need of protecting her integrity/honor/self/other.

· History (simplified):

Was born some millennia’s ago, on one of the many planets visited by the Draeneis in their exil. She grow there until her teenage-hood and the return again of the Burning Legion.  The young mage loved this destroyed planet fiercely, and mourn it still all these years later, but she did had a life on the Genedar and the following planets. Her father was a crystalsmith while her mother was an actress (and a competent assistant-crystalsmith when there was no place for acting), and they had a second kid some centuries after Shahari. She go well with her little brother, even if she don’t see him that much when he was a kid himself as it was the time when Shahari was studying the arcane under the tutelage of an old magus.

She meet her future husband, Mahuun, when she’s herself in her second millennia. He was an academic, studying wildlife and fauna on the planets they visited, archiving as much trace of it existence as he can before the destruction of the Burning Legion. They have a daughter, months only before the crash of the Genedar on Draenor. The couple go to Shadowmoon valley, where Shahari will stay until the end of this period.

When the Prophet Velen create the Rangari order, Mahuun soon leave Shahari and their baby to become one. It’s an amiable separation, and they stay friends after that. He does come back as often as he can to be in the child life, but not often enough to really be implicated in it. The baby is named Shalheveth. She takes after her father and soon became passionate for animals. So much that attaining teenagehood than adulthood, she choose to raise and train talbuks. Shahari slow down her own studies to help on that project, and soon became a talbuk breeder with her.

Shalheveth go her own path on life, finding love with two young fellow herders (Naaman and Orpah). She’s still close with her mother, who often see the trio. Mahuun is still alive and come from time to time, but less and less when orc agitation start.

They were all killed in the orc genocide. Shahari won her scar while trying to protect Shalheveth, and would only be able to bury her. Naaman and Orpah were killed when guiding their herd to the village, so the talbuks could be ridded by refugees. Mahuun disappear on one of his missions, with the group of refugees from Shattrath he was guiding.

Shahari’s survival is not something she like to talk about, nor think. Let’s just say that she was one of the many on the Exodar.

She go back to what has become Outland during the Naaru’s war, under the banner of the Aldor first than with the Shattered Sun Offensive. After that, she live in Azeroth, travelling from Dalaran to the Exodar.

Recently, she started travelling to Stormwind too.

I wanted to try a little animation, and atmosphere, so here it is. It’s mostly for me to see how all that stuff work, but I like it. (Nothing fancy, three frames)
