Shaking Minaret - Esfahan
Shaking Minarets with Mongol style architecture, which located in Esfahan is one of the extraordinary monuments in Iran. The unique of the minaret is the fact that If someone climb up the very narrow stairway to the top of one of these two minarets and lean hard against the wall, it will sway back and forth the other minaret. Experts have explained the situation as something that has occurred gradually with the passage of time.
We decided to have a view on this impressive building as recommended by our ‘tour guide’. There were many tourists waited for the ‘shaking performance’. After 40 minutes, the person in charged invited all of us to gather in front of the building before the show started.
As our ‘tour guide’ explanation, I expected that, the minarets would shake by itself. In fact, there was someone climbed up to the stairway to shake the minaret. Amazingly, another minaret was shaking too. Yet, the building stood firmly, merely the minarets were shaking. It’s impressive!
I have to wait for almost 40 minutes to view a 5 minutes ‘shaking performance’….? Yet, it’s worthy…!
