It’s been a really long time.
Somehow, Sybil had ended up back in Cloudbank for what she estimated was about a year. She had to estimate, because time didn’t seem to be working right back home. Apparently she’d gone and caused the end of the world. She felt pretty bad about that.
She’d take being alive in Hive City over being dead in Cloudbank, at least. Because being dead turned out to be very, very lonely, and very, very boring. She’d missed everyone from Hive City while she was there.
So when Sybil wanders into a little cafe and happens to spot Raymond, it’s a relief to see a friendly face.
“Hello! It’s been quite a while, hasn’t it?”
