I just want to say that I think that thisAU is very cute and I am following it now because I am a big fan of the Powerpuff Girls and what I have gathered so far this is based five years in the future where blossom doesn’t feel like she has exceeded the expectations of who she is and her mental health is starting to deteriorate and like she’s to go into some sort of mental spiral buttercup, took over the role after blossom, stepped down and is now on some sort of leader, power trip or either forced herself as leader I’m not sure which but I am just curious what is the personality of bubbles like I know she is always supposed to be the friendly and cute one and from what I saw on your page, it says that she was the toughest fighter could you please explain it to me also love what you’re doing keep going this AU is amazing 🩷🩵💚
Hello! I'm glad you like my AU so far! The AU is literally based off of the PPG Comic Issue 20 Bow Jest! if you search it on YT or some other free comic site you can find more context or clear context to it. Although I have written a fanfic with the alt ending for that comic I recommend reading that comic to gain a better understanding of how it came to be. And then the fanfic on A03 .3. To answer your question about SD Bubbles, It's mostly inspired by how she acted in the episode "Bubblevicious", she literally changed into the most toughest and scariest person overnight, wanting to prove herself.
Noted, her original personality actually mostly retains, she is still friendly and is nice to everyone.. well almost everyone. This does not apply to anyone pertained as a threat or a villain/criminal. She changes completely 180 and will go into a state where she suppresses her emotions of any kind, and will fight very harshly and these fights can be deadly. She will be heavily locked in, and will not stop fighting unless out of SD Buttercup's orders, or in fear in harming someone innocent, like her sisters or any civil citizen. This shift in personality (which I want to write out in the fanfic or draw out at somepoint) is first triggered by when SD Buttercup encourages her to be stronger for the team, as SD Blossom is "failing" everyone else, and is not in a good mental position to be fighting. With SD Blossom messing up and failing a lot things she was able used to do, her self esteem gone low.
She was pushed to the brink when she was forced to be in a "vicious" state again when her 2 sisters were actually in danger, when the villains (im not sure who yet but probably a team up like that Beat Alls episode) and that's when she goes full "hardcore mode" and will only switch up her personality in fighting mode ever since then. Buttercup has been complimenting and encouraging Bubbles to be the best at fighting, and soon or later train her and guided her ways, molding her to be the perfect "tough fighter" just like how she was. Triggering her forever into a "fight or flight" state and it would always be fight. Her being the toughest fighter basically was SD Buttercup made her to be build that way by constantly giving her pressure, and reminding her of the potential reliving that trauma of losing them both which is why SD Bubbles is actually not as mentally stable as ppl think she is.
Thus has gained favor from SD BC, which established her favoritism towards SD Bubbles compared to SD Blossom, despite loving them both, its sadly has twisted to that point.
Which is why majority of the villains/criminals hates to downright fears them in this AU. They are capable of killing them if they so wish to. I'm pretty sure in OG, the PPG can kill but like choose not to due to morals and stuff, but here their morality shifted as they believe ridding the bad guys will give the town absolute peace. However it has been confirmed by Mojo in the episode "Telephonies" that the villains are just much of legal citizens as well and yet they are suddenly treated with much HEAVY discrimination.
Oh ya another thing to note, SD Bubbles loves Blossom like OG show, she cherishes her and wishes for her well being. However she's under the impression that SD Blossom is heavily mentally UNWELL (well she is) but because of that she often brushes off Blossom's subtle cries for help, or when made aware of what's been happening around the beginning. However considering SD BC has fabricated proof/spinning the story around, or that SD Bubbles came in around at a time where it looks like SD Blossom was the one who was losing her mind or exhibiting concerning behavior, she cannot help but to having to either take Buttercup's side due to what she was shown/knows.
Here is like an example of what she would look like in fight mode or when she's in a state to be hardcore toughest fighter mode.
