A Cowboy Enjolras I was inspired to draw because of @shamedumpster's very cool Cowboy Enj design. What's he gonna do with that rope? Hmmm. Could be there's a Grantaire in need of tying up.

I'm such a sucker for Dad!Taire and subsequently It's Not The Same Anymore by @shamedumpster is the only thing that's gotten me through this week.

17. Did any books surprise you with how good they were?
it took a while for me to get into Assassin's Apprentice but i really loved it!! especially when the action started picking up haha. The Goblin Emperor was wondrous as well, the worldbuilding was extremely impressive ^_^ i also really enjoyed Bungo Stray Dogs, i had watched up to mid-season 4 of the anime but i thought the story was so much more impactful in the manga. I think i also finished the Hiccup series earlier in the year, which i knew was good when I was a kid but as an adult, im still extremely impressed with just how well written it is (so does it count? i expected it to be more disappointing since ive grown up now so i was pleasantly surprised yay)

25. What reading goals do you have for next year?
i just read whenever i want to and whatever i want to so i dont usually have goals or anything. i'd like to read the Iliad, i DNF it a few years ago but I want to try again (my sibling has the Emily Wilson translation which I will be stealing). i'd also like to give Beowulf another try, and eventually Paradise Lost (probably in the summer where i'll have more time to think about it)
