Lego DC Supervillains gave Wonder Woman a sword. And listen. It is immensely fun to play with a sword and just slash at all the lego stuff. But also.. I feel like William Moulton Marston is turning over in the grave. He never had Wonder Woman using weaponry. She actively disdained warfare. Wonder Woman using a sword and cutting at people is antithetical to her character. It's almost like spitting in his face. You took his story of pacifism and empowerment and made it just another generic fantasy story.

It's a watering down of wonder woman by people who probably didn't read marston's stuff. Because if you didn't read it, you wouldn't know just how much he makes wonder woman fight against war. She does work as an army secretary in her civilian identity, but she fights against mars, the god of war. That was deliberate. He didn't just say that to tell a meaningless story. No. Wonder Woman is fundamentally opposed to warfare. And swords seem like a big no, the same way guns and spears and axes would be. But no. We're just making her a martial warrior princess. I've heard people blame the DCAU for this characterization. I mean...it might have caused it. I don't know. But I think we need to undo this. Because it sort of ruins the character.
