favorite thing about them
His level of determination. I mean, sad backstory and current awfulness aside, think about what he’s accomplished. Crash landed on an alien world with nothing, constantly dealing with a serious chronic illness by himself, among a whole bunch of alien species, and he’s able to build an army and become a legitimate threat out of nothing. Hordak may not think highly of himself without his brother’s approval, but objectively, he is incredibly impressive. Also he’s freaking adorable.
least favorite thing about them
I know this comes from a place of deep insecurity, but I wish he’d learn to judge people’s intentions more accurately. For his own safety.

Ah, man; I don’t know if I have an Official Favorite. “I have never been in a tizzy” is great because it’s endearing but also an idiot lie; that man exists in a state of perpetual tizzy.
Not a full line, I guess, but I enjoy the moment he says “You’re not a-” and then he gets immediately hair-shushed by Entrapta. I guess it’s not a line persay, but I just enjoy the situation because it’s such a small-yet-monumental demonstration of how close they are and how comfortable they are with one another. Entrapta is able to not only interrupt him, but she’s able to do so through the casual yet very intimate act of touching his mouth. And he just kind of goes with it.

Him and Bow, actually. I think he’d be surprised and weirdly impressed that Bow was able to create tech that reminded him of Entrapta and was able to foil his bots. And Bow is just a sweetheart who wants the best for everyone; I think it would be lovely for Hordak to have another person in his life who just wants him to be well.

I’ve seen mentions of him and Horde Prime floating around? I can’t tell if it’s a joke or a fetish thing? It’s kind of horrifying to me? So yeah. That. I’m also not a fan of him and Shadow Weaver because I don’t trust that woman to touch anything without emotionally destroying it.
random headcanon
The abnormal white skin on his arms is paper-thin and very delicate, like a very old person’s. The dark blue scars are conversely thick and rough. Normal blue skin feels like regular ol’ healthy human skin.
unpopular opinion
I don’t actually care whether or not he “learns the error of his ways” regarding Etheria. I don’t care if he “makes up for it” or whatever. It’s not that I’m opposed to him righting wrongs and what-have-you; it’s more that it just doesn’t alter my ultimate wishes for him. Even if he never repents for starting a war, I will want him to be healthy and happy and at peace. So while I wouldn’t mind him performed Etherian penance or whatever, I also don’t see that as an integral part of any sort of redemption arc. It’s just not important to me, whereas him learning to value himself apart from Prime is.
