In the story itself, Shane's still in school actually!

College, undecided (for now) at NYU!

2. Who trained them in their class or job?

He has a handful of professors, but his main... trainer(?) is Tom :)

3. What was their relationship with their teacher/mentor?

It's been mostly cordial between him and Tom I guess~

4. How did they meet their teacher/mentor?

In... class?

Mmmm a bit of strict and a bit of indifference ^^'

If his grades are anything to go by... he's really struggling to pass...
