Photo captured in 2012. Before, one Taiwan movie KORA / One Mile Above (转山) was quite attractive to me and I longed to be there to see the Meili (梅里) Snow Mountain. Fortunately, when we arrived in Shangri-La (Zhongdian, Diqing 中甸,迪庆州), the weather was very nice and the mountain peaks can be seen clearly, as it normally blocks by clouds and fog. We saw the beautiful Snow Mountain sunrise next morning. This is also one of the famous fairy mountains in the hearts of Tibetans. It does not promote climbing here. Beside religious reasons, it has many disasters in the history even for professional mountaineers. In 1991, 17 members of the China-Japan Joint Academic Mountaineering Team all died there.
