The Canaanite sun goddess, one of the oldest sun worship deities.
Appearing in the Baal cycle of Ugarit as a messenger of El and an comrade to Anat, she illuminated the underworld for her.
She is also the persuader of Attar who attempted to seize power, and from this I saw her similarity to Michael, and drawing them almost identical faces.
It's believed that the influence of Shapsh did extend to other religions in the Levant, and Greek mythology also bears traces of Phoenician gods.
