They're Your Users, Not Ours
ReadSocial is designed to be TRANSPARENT. We serve it up, but YOU own the social interactions and the data on ReadSocial. YOU (as in YOU the Publisher, or YOU the Developer) own the relationship with your users, and the data that goes with it. Check out our approach:
Open Source: We open sourced the web and iPad clients, so you can change them. Add your own logo, change the color to match your service, build on top of it if you want to.
Dashboard: We built a dashboard so you can get data about how your content is read at a glance; we aim to add value and get you some usage stats.
Your Accounts: We can tie into your own login system (so it can be a seamless part of your user experience); we’re also set up to go with 3RD party social networks like Facebook, Twitter and Google right out of the box.
Compatible: We work on top of other note-taking and highlighting stuff you’ve built, so there's no conflict.
Downloadable: We give you the option of downloading and taking the content with you if you leave.
The idea is simple - you shouldn’t have to build up a pile of code to make social relationships work. Instead focus on what you do best and let us do the heavy lifting. Let us set up the servers and manage the traffic and maintain the groups and track what content is popular and give it to you. You just focus on the core of your business. We’ve got your back (even if your customers can’t see it). After all, they’re your customers, not ours.
