what's the geology of Whaluga? I assume it's based off of the Hawai'ian Island chain, if that's the case I assume it's very Igneous, probably very Mafic. that'll mean the Island'll have a lot of Basalt (which, when eroded, gives black sand, which could be fun). Depending on the Iron Content you can get Red Sand, and depending on the amount of Quartz you could get White Sand. Considering the mountain (which I assume is meant to be a dormant or extinct Shield Volcano) looks eroded and covered in Plant Life, It'd make more sense for it to be similar to Moloka'i or Maui, and if it's been extinct for a while it'd probably be most similar to Kauai'i. The Geology of Volcanic Hotspots is really Interesting and i'd definitely give it a look if you haven't already. If none of what I said applies feel free to ignore. lol

anon u are so valid. i have been thinking about this message for several days. i did refer to the Hawaiian archipelago as a reference for Whaluga island, especially Kauai. looking at the backgrounds i’ve drawn up, the main bay, Blue Gill, would have white sand beaches

in regards to both Cryptid Crush and Sharkmates existing, i do wonder, do both games exist in different universes, or do they happen in the same one?

The sharkmates world is a different universe, BUT the protagonist is originally from is the CC universe. which is just default urban fantasy weird Earth. now i have drawn ollie (as a seal) and robyn hanging out before 😭 i like the idea of my protags being friends.
