Despite the room spinning, pitching, and swaying like a boat stuck in a maelstrom, she lifted her head to retrieve the glass. Zach was smart to keep his distance though. Combining the two substances usual resulted in a lack of proper aim. As shown in the few puddles on the floor before she reached the toilet.
“One, you know I’m a beast. And two, give me a bit longer to sober up and rehydrate and I’ll be ready for another round.”
With the mention of continuing this pace, her stomach heaved again and she stuck her head back in the bowl.
“Oh, you’ll be the life of the party, I’m sure.” he deadpanned, grabbing a hand-towel from the radiator by the door, before opting to crouch down beneath the sink next to her, stepping carefully around the pre-existing splatters on the floor. Someone was gonna have to clean that up later. He planned on not being around for that, if he could help it.
He slung the towel onto her shoulder (submerged as her head still was) and sat back on his heels, a mixture of amusement and exasperation playing across his face.
“You mixed two pretty hardcore pleasures, Til -- there’s a reason you feel like shit right now. Relax. You’re really not boring for missing a night or two.”
