I've been trying to figure out how to deal with the Sims University World (I've downloaded CAWster's files and made a Sims University homeworld and planted my sims to live there) and sending the Sims to university. In fact, I've made it a whole new save as a homeworld with the University buildings in there.
I actually put a hospital in there, so that the Sims have someplace to go to if in the course of their kegger parties they end up head first in the bonfire or have some other mishap that requires them to make a run for the emergency ward.
River and Haruo's house is a lot larger than the one in Sunset Valley which they sold since some, well, personal things...that happened with their family. The house is big enough that Haruo and River can let out a few rooms to fellow students in order to bring in some money.
it's evident that River loves the new place - it's enormous. They moved the majority of their things from Sunset Valley to Sims University Lands and are now headed to do their four year degree (yes, you heard that right - FOUR years (four seasons x 4) in order to get their Baccalaureate degree in Music (which is in reality a fine arts degree, but who's counting?). Outside of Haruo's cousin Shigeo and his girlfriend Samantha Grey, there'll also be Dae-Chol...
(now, I don't know what's going on with Shushilda's trumpet, because somehow it disappeared when I tried to attach it to him. I don't know if the accessory went wonky on that particular save or what, but it never showed up when I tried to attach it to him with the accessory. Thank goodness I have a save-file with his trumpet still with him. So he's going to be wandering around everywhere with that trumpet and I'll have to put him in formal clothes every single time that there is a performance)
There will be three others who are River's friends she makes in university and they will more than likely be life-long friends. (I'm still debating on whether to make this an immortal legacy. I guess I'm too attached to River and Haruo to let them go into the afterlife) and well Samantha has kept the fact that she is a werewolf quiet and most people don't even know she is one.
First of River's friends is Tessa Doyle, who is going into music education and whose interest in post-secondary education is to get her degree so that she can become a high-school music teacher. It's either that or she goes into the health field as a music therapy facilitator.
Second of River's friends is a medical student by the name of Sharla Patrick. She's blonde-haired, blue-eyed and smart-as-a-whip. She's studying oncology due to her father passing away when she was sixteen from pancreatic cancer. She's also a hopeless romantic wanting a "knight in shining armour" to come and sweep her off her feet.
River's third friend is Tsana Meer, product of a Russian mother and a Scottish father, she's what some would consider a Dark Scot. Naturally tanned, with stunning features and a strong jawline for a female, she can turn heads when she walks into a room. She's also a vocal major in the University music program.
After going on a Sims-creation binge, I think I have enough sims to start my university section.
Now if only my damned writing muse would cooperate.
