Charlie walked down the side-walk and locked eyes with the man. Holding the contact for a second she blinked and looked away. Something about this man was a little off.
The woman stared at him for just a moment to long before looking away. She was scared of him, he was sure, which wasn’t terribly unusual. Actually it was quite normal, but usually people tended to avoid eye contact with him at all costs. Still, he should have been paying more attention when he clipped her shoulder with his own and knocked her to the ground.
"Sorry," he said, holding his hand out to her, "I’m a little off today, apparently." She hadn’t been following him and he had been too out of it to see it, had he?
Charlie looked way up and greeted the tall man. "..Hi Art.."
"Hello Charlie! How are you?"

Crap.
Wasn't she the one who was supposed to do the shopping? Shit. "She" was the demon's business partner, who had up and taken a vacation up north for a week or so and who had unceremoniously left Acri to fend for himself until she came back. He was definitely now acclimated to having someone else do such menial tasks such as grocery shopping. It irritated him even more that he had to leave the restaurant in order to get more booze for tonight.
And night was quickly falling. He sighed and grumbled to himself and braved the supermarket, only coming out with half of the things on his list and dozens of other junk food that he certainly didn't need. Demons didn't really change body shape after a certain century, but twinkies and other processed foods usually spelled doom for his digestive tract.
He sighed.
Moments later he was back up at the bar. He cursed highway traffic; the restaurant/bar had opened before he had a chance to get back and restock. Thankfully, it was still early. He grabbed the bags of liquor in his hands leaving the hellish sweet golden treats in the trunk for the evening and walked inside. He saw that someone was already sitting at the bar and no one was around.
He cursed under his breath and hustled over, setting the bags behind the counter. "I am so sorry, ma'am, your drinks are on the house this evening."
