5 Days until The Tick season 1 is fully released!

Overkill is a parody of the lone wolf, vigilante, dark, and edgy trope anti-heroes. He keeps the show’s rating above PG. The show loves to show the absurdity of superhero tropes but in a loving way, and in some ways you could say Overkill is just like his name sake, he’s just a bit too excited about how hardcore he is. He is dead set on finding The Terror, if he’s even still alive, and exacting his revenge. He likes to work alone and make brief, but very dark speeches about the state of humanity, but if you catch him in an embarrassing moment he can’t shrug it off, he’s got to yell SHUT UP as he storms off. And for that you have to love him.

Arthur: I just, you know, I really think I'm qualified for this- this job, but I can't get a foot in the door.

Dot: I'm sure you will.

Arthur: I wanna do great things, you know? I want to be an achiever, like Overkill.

Dot: The dangerous, rogue vigilante?

Dot: I've gotten turned down for plenty of jobs. Even fired a few times.

Arthur: I can't imagine anybody firing you.

Dot: Neither could I. Now, I can visualize it really well. But you know, everything happens--

Arthur: Don't say "for a reason".

Dot: No! No, I'm just saying "everything happens".

Arthur: Not to me.

In the latest of me grasping at any #ChrisSam content I can find, this beta photo makes me laugh because of the staging of it. It looks like Matt/Emily are together, Chris/Sam are together, Mike/Ashley/Jess are a love triangle, and Josh is completely unattached to anyone.

So @hardyoungpro shared some shots from a Sam swap mod (in place of Beth). And when I tell you that even player-fabricated snippets of this ship make me happy, I mean it. 😂

The dynamic is impeccable. And both these characters have fun lore potential for me to play with in fics. That, and the deleted dialogue for them sends me. I get their lines about going on a date were said jokingly. But they made me feel things. Also Sam’s mom being like “Date him. I like Chris” is soooo funny. He’s totally the favorite friend. 😂
