What do you do when a sharps bin is full? How do you go about disposing it? Would you need to get a new one each time?
Different areas have different policies for disposing sharps bins. You can try asking your GP or pharmacist if they’re able to take them, but they may not be able to do so if your sharps bin was not prescribed by them. They may, however, be able to signpost to other avenues that you can explore. Your local council may also have some guidance on their website regarding sharps or clinical waste disposal. Needle exchange services may also be able to take full sharps bins.
