@shatterxdsouls || Have some Vamp!Eddie
Hawkins looked so different, the air thicker and darker the moment Eddie crawled through the portal. He was still trying to wrap his head around the fact that he had come back from the dead, that he had been able to come back here to begin with. To see the ground split like cracked glass would’ve had his heart stop, if it wasn’t already frozen within his chest. Despite feeling like he could move mountains, Eddie was scared.
He had come to sometime after seeing Dustin drift off into the darkness. Thinking he had simply gone to Hell like so many threatened, he was shocked to find all his wounds were gone, replaced with faint scars. He felt better than he ever had before, moved around with a swiftness he never knew he had, and could hear and see things with incredible clarity.
After walking around for ages, he came across a pack of demobats, but instead of attacking him, they simply...stayed. It frightened him at first, but he felt a strange sense of connection to them. He thought about them clearing a path and the beasts moved as if they could read his mind. It was then that he came to the conclusion that he was no longer human. Well, fuck me. It seemed experiencing so many bites from those things had turned him into something else.
Trying not to think about it too much, he came across an open gate, sensing that there were more around than before. He didn’t like the fact that he just knew things now. Like a itch in the back of his head. But it wasn’t as bad as the itch within it throat. It ached, in fact. As he passed through into Hawkins, the burn only worsened, making him stumble through what looked like the backwoods of one of the outskirts of town.
The moment he smelled fresh blood, a frenzy took over, and he charged through the night until he came across a family of deer. Without hesitation, he tore them apart and feasted on their blood, groaning at how wonderful it all felt. When he finally came to, he dropped the body he had in his hands and collapsed, retching and crying as everything around him spun. Just what kind of monster had he become?
Desperate to get away from what he had done, Eddie took off again, coming to a backyard and seeing a pool dimly illuminated by a porch light. He needed to get the blood off his skin, so he rushed to the side of the pool, falling to his knees and splashing the water on his face and arms. Spotting his reflection in the water, he froze. His eyes were dark, skin paler than usual, and his clothes were in tatters.
He tried to keep himself calm, but it became difficult when he could hear a heartbeat nearby, then footsteps emerging from inside the house connected to the poolside area he was in. His eyes rose to see the shape coming into his view and he froze.
