i was just thinking about how if you did a gender swap, and a female protag had every dude swooning over her, it would basically be a horror game

witcher 1? yes. Witcher 2 is far better and while still pretty uncomfortable at times, it has more female characters in important roles and Geralt is less like a macho powerfantasy.

alright cool. i knew about the sex trading cards or whatever but witcher 1 also kinda sounded like a slog.

I’m still fuckign salty about the deal with Xbox, tho. even if it’s a limited exclusivity. feel for my Sony brethren especially. they have to wait a year

You may have even mentioned it before and I forgot. The article I was reading talked about how making a game an X-Box exclusive is a financial liability since XB1 is such a comparatively small market share next to PS4 + PC. There are so many games to pick from these days, I question how exclusivity--timed or otherwise--looks beneficial on paper.

I read another article that said Rise of the Tomb Raider changes a lot of the things franchise fans didn’t like about the previous game--specifically the level of violence and combat-reliance. Evidently not as on-rails. And that’s interesting because crashes aside, Tomb Raider does feel solid, but I picked out all of those issues within the first hour of gameplay.
