This guy is Chicago.  He is the city personified.  He's got personality.  He's original.  He's not afraid of guys who are bigger than him.  He's a hard worker.  He leaves everything on the ice. He brings his all every game.  He gives 110% to the sport he loves.  He's blue collar.  He got over-looked twice in the draft.  He learns by example.  He's scrappy.  He's hated by opponents, but loved by his city.  He's resilient.  He's a hidden gem.  He fights for what he wants.  He's willing to lay his body on the line for his team.  He doesn't give up.  He's got passion.  He's got a big heart.  He's a kid with dreams.  He didn't give up when things looked bad for him.  He does what he loves.  He's proud.  He's a team player.  He loves what he does.  He can rally a city around him.  He was the underdog.  He does the dirty work, to make his team mates game easier.  He's gritty.  He's rough and tough.  He makes sacrifices for his team.  He'll do anything to win.  He's loud, busy, and always buzzing around.  He's fast paced.  His game is exciting.  He wears his scars proudly, cherishes every one of them.  Each one tells a story, just like every part of Chicago has a history.  Every move he makes on the ice has a purpose.  Andrew Shaw, you are Chicago.
