from the website: There was once a woman who had been traveling through the woods for some time. She wished to take a break from her travels by going for a swim. She found a nearby stream and decided to dam the stream so that she could swim around. Once she submerged into the water, she did not want to leave.

The stream asked her to leave the stream and allow the water to pass as it had been, but the woman refused. Since the woman refused, the stream decided to turn her into a beaver, and transformed the leather apron she was wearing into a beaver tail.

from the website: When The One Who Walks All Over The Sky (one of the sons of The Chief Who Created Everything) was asleep, sparks flew out of his mouth. Those are the stars; and at night the moon receives its light from the shining face of the Sun, who is asleep. When the Moon is tired, he shoots light out of its smoke holes. The moon is seen as a gentle, healing energy, that people talk about in stories as rejenerative and giving. It also comes in tandem with the Sun, who is a powerful force that gives the Moon energy.
