Wondering how @shawn_huckins' now-signature old-school-meets-new school imagery came into being? Well over a decade ago, his cousin told Shawn that despite having the skill to paint portraits, he was avoiding them because he was...uh...🐔. In an "I'll show YOUUuu!" turning point, the Denver-based artist began practicing how to create realistic-looking portraits by using classical art as his reference imagery. Apparently, one of his paintings fell down. As the gods would have it, a piece of tracing paper with LOL written upon it then conveniently juxtaposed itself right on top! (No, we're not making this up.
