With the people Athena let in, often of it brought a curse because she knew taking mental days to just corrupt was that. It did even make her forget over the dinner with Shay, much like her pseudo sister, all of these almost four years of living in Westbrook later. It was something Athena thought of having every Friday night, knowing she didn’t know one too many people around. It was the unexpected connections but worthwhile because she wasn’t someone to flat out admit how much she appreciated it but she did, especially more than ever. It being the New Year, it was nice to be able to sit down and catch up. Although, she couldn’t even quite remember when the last time either one of them met up. Still, she welcomed Shay in with open arms, even though she was in a foggy and rather moody state, not because of Shay but because of the unexpected things in her life coming around and again, the pressure of work of arresting a suspect for the case and give the town what they all wanted - more confirmation. Pouring red wine into her glasses, she brought them over to the table before setting down and taking her seat, “Well, well, anything new I need to know from what, over the past month in your life, Shay?” Questioning with an arched brow, picking up her fork and knife, cutting into the homemade meal of lasagna.
