PSA TO ALL OF MY PARTNERS:

just wanted to update you on everything before i forget!

this weekend (may 28-31), i’m going to visit my boyfriend so i might be a little MIA.

may 29-june 7 i have an essay competition to join the law review journal at my law school, so between working all day and doing that, i will probably only be around later at night.

then, june 8-19 i’m going to be in israel on birthright without any internet, so i’ll be on full hiatus during this time.

after that, i’ll be good to go for the rest of summer! please don't hate me :)

36 hours. That’s how long Brielle had been at the hospital for. It was potentially her most grueling shift, too, considering she’d gone out the night before it started and had a severe hangover as soon as she’d arrived. 12. That’s how many cups of coffee she had in the past 36 hours. Somehow, she had to make it through. Only five more hours before her shift ended and she was able to go home, to the comfort of her own bed. Because in the past 36 hours, she’d only had a total of 7 hours of sleep. And to be honest, she was feeling miserable as a result.

Brielle planned on taking a quick nap in the on call room to refresh herself and she was heading in that very direction when her pager buzzed. There was someone waiting for her at the nurse’s station. Probably her boyfriend coming to check in on her. That was an entirely different situation and she had no idea how to handle it. Cheating on her perfect boyfriend was never something she’d written into her 10 year plan.

Sighing, the girl pivoted on her heel and head in the opposite direction. When she arrived at her destination, however, she was surprised by who she found. Myles. A feeling of nervousness set in immediately and Brielle rushed over to him, grabbing his hand without thinking and tugging him towards the closest available room. Closing the door behind them, Brielle dropped his hand and crossed her arms over her chest.

“What the hell are you doing here!? You can’t just visit me at work. Bryan works here, you know? If he sees us together... he’s going to know. He’ll just know. He always knows,” she trailed off, a rush of thoughts escaping her lips before she had time to think about what she was saying. It was likely an affect of sleep deprivation and heavy caffeine intake.

He was smiling. That smug little bastard.

“Stop it!” Brielle exclaimed, about to dive into a longer rant on the more serious risks of Myles visiting her at work. But he wasn’t going to let that happen. Suddenly, the small distance between them was closed off and his lips were pressed up against hers, his hands finding their way towards her perfectly curved ass. And just like that, all thoughts of her McDreamy boyfriend had drifted away, completely replaced with thoughts of the muscular man whose arms she was currently in.
