After a re-edition of Helmut Lang originals, here comes "Helmut Lang Seen by Shayne Oliver". @IsabellaBurley, editor-in-residence at Helmut Lang invited ex-Hood by Air designer Shayne Oliver (chosen as the first guest designer) to present his Helmut Lang reincarnation. We all know Oliver's penchant for deconstructed and provocative proportions (remember his both direction boots), gender-fluid silhouettes with a strong fetish/sexual inspiration. Shayne returns to the runway with deconstructed bras (oversized, zipped and shaped into handbags), bondage-style leather straps, harnesses, nipple pasties, square 'Helmut' nails, red lips, and rawness (makeup looks designed by our favorite @IngeGrognard) - “It all comes back to sexuality,” Shayne said backstage. Helmut Lang himself left the label in 2005 to focus on art projects but has the HL original spirit vanished with him?
