When Aqua was pregnant of Vera, Maris liked to put her head close to her mom's baby bump to hear her future little brother?
“I think I can hear something.” Ven mumbled concentrated, keeping his ear and hand pressed against Aqua’s belly searching for any kind of movement.
“It doesn’t happen that often you know.” Aqua chuckled “You might be there for a couple of hours until you hear anything.”
“I know.” Ven pouted. “But when he kicked yesterday it was amazing! I want to hear it again.”
Just entering the living room Maris looked curiously how Ven was bend over on the sofa to keep his ear pressed to Aqua’s stomach.
“Your little brother.” Ven smiled, finally sitting up straight.
Maris gasped amazed and brought her hands up to her mouth in shock.
“What? No!“ Ven laughed. “Babies can’t talk princess, they start making sounds when they are at least 6 months old.”
“What your father meant was that he wants to listen to your little brother kick.” Aqua finally explained. “He does it sometimes when he’s moving around.”
Intrigued Maris walked closer to her mother and placed an ear on her belly.
“Really? I didn’t know they could move!”
“They do.” Ven said with a knowing smile. “But not as often as you’d think, so don’t be disappointed if you don’t hear any-”
“It moved!” Maris suddenly cried excited.
Incredulous Ven turned to look at Aqua for confirmation, and when she nodded with a sad smile Ven sighed and crossed his arms in defeat.
“I got distracted for just one second…”
