💜 - tucks my muse against their chest
The downside of following him out into the desert in the dead of night. The need to sneak back into the palace. To Elsa’s knowledge they weren’t up to anything devious (if only she knew), but Jafar had assured her that they shouldn’t be seen returning. Something about not everyone being trustworthy. Or someone suspecting the visiting queen of foul play if she was spotted wandering the grounds after dark.
“This way” she heard him say only a moment before he pulled her around a corner. Away from the guards patroling the halls that were headed right for them.
Elsa held her breath. She stood stiff as a statue as he secured her against him,his dark robes cloaking them both in the shadows as the unaware guards past. Her body pressed tightly against his. She wouldn’t have been able to breathe if she TRIED. Her heart all but stopped in her chest. It was the most she’d touched him since they’d met. And now she was close enough to feel his jaw brush against her hair when he looked to see if the coast was clear.
She breathlessly followed him, as he released her and they continued on their way. And she thanked the darkness for hiding the red that crept onto her face.
