Amo isnt stupid, she felt the energy in the room shift after Rudo left - she is clearly seeing Riyo watch him go, she is making sure that Rudo doesn't hear whatever Riyo has in mind
Amo went through a personal hell. Having been imprisoned, possibility of her biggest fear - dying all alone, disappearing, noone caring that she is gone, not even anybody noticing - close to becoming a reality. Her end. So many days of being stuck, chained in a way that wouldn't let her sleep, cold stone floor, freezing under her bare legs, her vision limited by the gate of the cell, long hallway.
Hallway Amo prayed somebody to show up in, coming to get her out. That somebody being Rudo. Her only hope. She had no other.
And with Rudo she couldn't know for sure if he will notice that she was gone. He was in a group of people, he wore a uniform like them, he probably had things to do....
Was Amo significant enough for Rudo to notice she was not replying to the calls? Would he even bother to call once, to hear silence from her end? Would he bother come back to the tower? Or he would move on with his life and never think of Amo again? His promise to her never realized?
Amo had nothing else to do but think. And hope.
She didn't know what time a day it was so she couldn't tell how many days have passed. How many hours. It all felt agonizingly long.
So after all that still fresh in her mind...Amo could definitely take people from Rudo's group being upset with her.
Rudo bringing her to his home. Arranging so she is treated - Amo feels more sure that she belongs somewhere, than she felt in forever - because Rudo wants her there.
Consciously or not, Amo feels Rudo's protection. The flower she is holding in her hands is yet more evidence of that.
Whatever the girl has to say or do, Amo had it worse.
