My friend and I had a Buffy marathon...and during the she-mantis episode I realized...that they explain how the she-mantis preys upon virgins and lures them into her mating ritual, hence how they discover Xander is a virgin. But in the beginning the she-mantis preyed upon their biology teacher, so..was he? Because that seems strange.
