I can't tell you how many times I watched this movie. I was studying theatre at Grambling and desperately seeking monologues I could relate to. I tried over and over to pull a 5 minute monologue from Robin Givens character but it never would stretch to the required time limit for theatre competitions. Here was a group of women whose characters were developed to react to life and not compliment are implement characters of men and/or children. Treat yourself, make sure this book is in your library.
