Picabo Street. (Pronounced ˈpiːkəbuː)
Former World Cup alpine ski racer and OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALIST from the United States.
Her parents decided to let Picabo choose her own name when she was old enough, so they referred to her as "little girl" or "baby girl" until she could talk and decide. When she turned 3, she then chose the name Picabo after the nearby village of Picabo, Idaho.
She appeared in a skit on Sesame Street where Elmo was looking for Peekaboo Street and he met the real Picabo Street.
SO COOL!!!!!! HOW IS THIS NOT A COOL NAME?! I'm telling you... those were some smart parents.. I would TOTALLY let my future kids pick their own names!! :)
Captain Munnerlyn.
When he was growing up, his father was murdered and both of his brothers sold drugs. His oldest brother, Timothy, was convicted in 1996 of murder and was sentenced to life in prison. After the shooting, Munnerlyn's mother converted to Christianity and he eventually did the same. Munnerlyn eventually said of the conversion and his mother's prayers that he would stay out of trouble, "Without her prayers, I don't think I could be here [the NFL] right now."
Regarding his name, he said "I'll admit, my name is a little odd. In the beginning it was kind of rough. Kids used to tease me a little, but it fits my personality, because I feel like I'm a leader."
This past season, Munnerlyn turned in a breakout 2013 campaign as a 16-game starter, setting career highs in tackles (74), sacks (3.5), and pass breakups (12). He has four pick sixes over the past two seasons.
So yeahh.. GREAT NAMES for some GREAT PEOPLE! I'm telling you.. one day, you're gonna wish you claimed these 2 names for yourself! Don't come crying to me when your son "Jim" or your daughter "Doris" complain about their un-unique names! If you admit your folly, maybe I'll consider letting you use one of these or giving you some good ideas! >:]
