Almost Done!
We keep getting closer and closer to being done with this shed and it's going really good! I feel like it was all just a pile of wood like yesterday but now it's an actually building! We have to get the garage door put on and get some chipboard on the interior but we are getting closer everyday and I can't wait!
More with the Siding
We've got the siding on for the other side of the shed now. It's hard getting everything to line up and cutting the metal to the right size and making sure it's all fitting correctly. It's really cool seeing it all coming together and feeling like it's closer to being done!
Siding
We've got most of the siding on and the roof is done. It's really coming together now and looking better by the day! The siding was a slow process but you can see the progress immediately and how it's all coming together. We have to get the window put in on the back before we are able to put siding on the back. Its looking really good!
More cutting
Now we have to cut the other side to make sure everything matches up evenly with the rest of the shed. This is where it gets a little harder because we want it to line up with the other side so its back and forth measuring. It actually matters a lot for the final look and the stability of the roof because if a side is off, it could be unbalanced or it could look uneven. We are kind of in the final stages of just structure and stability so next is getting siding and a roof.
Rafters
We got the rafters put up which is a big part because now it's got parts of a roof and is really starting to look like a shed. We're also cutting the overhang and making sure everything is the same length. This is a lot of measuring and adjusting because even a small difference could stand out once it's all completely finished. This is getting closer to being done!
Putting Everything Together
Now that it's warmer out we are getting everything put together. At this point it feels pretty good to see everything come together and it's starting to actually look like a shed. This project has taken a lot of patience and how every part kind of connects to another. It's all coming together and getting real.
Side Walls
The walls are built and ready to be set up which is big! Until this part we have pretty much just been focusing on the base and making sure everything was stable and measured correctly. Accuracy is definitely important and we made a few little mistakes but we were thankfully able to correct them. It's no longer just a bunch of wood so that's exciting. Now to put it all together!
