It’s warm, the heart is turned up and there’s a blanket draped over yours and Ed’s legs. His arm is thrown over your shoulder, chin resting on top of your head as he watches the TV. The atmoshere is peaceful, loving, and you snuggle closer into his warmth, enjoying the sound of his heartbeating. “Calli,” he murmurs your name in your ear, his voice husky and dripping with sleep.
“Hm?” you turn and look up at him, a small smile playong on your lips. With a lazy-grin spread across his face, his ginger hair curled atop his head, he leans down and kisses your nose before whispering, “I love you.” His voice is filled with so much emotion, so much love and want that your heart stops beating for a few seconds and your eyes water. “I love you, too,” you say back, and grip his chin, bringing his lips towards yours for a long, sensual kiss.
