Hi!! I just found your blog and as a fellow multi fandom disaster and banana fish enthusiast (and occasionally analyst) I just wanted to say hi (=
Hello hello! Just by your bio, I can tell we'll get along swell. Literature hoe solidarity.
Ahh I'm always so happy to find other Banana Fish fans! I'll have to check out your analysis.
Still to see Nana, because I don't know whether I can handle the sad feelings atm ^^"
And I'm a casual fan of Spidey (or at least more casual than my obsessive self used to be haha). I'm a newbie to the many alternate universes, but Spiderverse has got me intrigued!
I'd love to be moots (or tumblr friends? is that the word around here? painfully new 😂)
this is a chonky post! sections are a heads-up, my stuff, characters and links.
━━━━━━♡♤♡━━━━━━
I'm 19, based in the UK (BST/GMT) and love a ton of things. Honestly, this post is here mainly to keep my brain sorted, with satisfying anyone's curiosity as a plus.
I'm very into DQXI, Banana Fish and especially Hunter x Hunter. That's not an exhaustive list. The following won't be either, but it's a start!
In the following fandoms I'm less active, but I don't love them any less. If you want to talk to me about these things, that would be just as swell!
- ffvii (mainly the original)
- jjba
- cardcaptor sakura (haven't seen clear card)
- ace attorney (haven't played dgs/gaa yet)
- fallen london
-monster and mawaru penguindrum (these I don't read fic for but I do read a bunch of analysis posts!)
- and reading outside of games / manga (sometimes)! Peake, Poe, Le Guin...

☆.。.:* a heads-up .。.:*☆
Should've used one of the many appropriate specific hxh image references for this, like the Troupe's coin-tossing habit and what happened at the Arena around the Succession Contest time. Darn. Anyway...
- My main is SFW, but many of the series I'm into includes more heavy stuff. And my AO3 (sometimes NSFW) bookmarks reflect that, I think!
- Will make it a habit to tag properly. Please let me know if I slip up! Just be aware that I'm a fan of Banana Fish, which is an animanga series that takes a stab at very sensitive and potentially triggering topics. Take care - I'll be as clear as I can with tags so you can make informed judgement calls.
- The same goes for tagging major spoilers. I'll tread even more carefully with ongoing series and manga spoilers.
- By the way, any HxH fan who hates Gon, thinks he's bland /a psychopath / a monster? I respect your opinion, but we're never going to see eye-to-eye on that one 😅

☆.。.:* my stuff .。.:*☆
I have work to do, but fandom is more fun.
- Betaing. I only do one fic at any one time.
At the moment, I'm very busy and very happy working on a HxH!BB entry :D
- HxH nerdcore recs including geek music from Brazil. Gets my minimal language muscles going and transcription is real rewarding. Plus, I get to share some cool songs!
I still need to start my nerdcore recs ^^"
- Greed Island writing prompt fills, provided by the server. It's a great community giving out HxH writing prompts based on the G.I cards among a ton of other challenges.

☆.。.:* characters .。.:*☆
I'm a fan of quite a few characters. Naming all of them would take a while. Here are the ones I read about / analyse / think about the most.
Roughly in order, but love isn't a science. I do like a bit of cheesiness.
...If you want! There's a couple of blogs I've not properly fleshed out. Shorter To Sing and Sheet Dump are pretty empty sideblogs. These are my links:
24HoursRemain is my AO3.
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the
Organization for Transformative Works
SheetBeat (hello! you're here!) is my main. It's for general fandom shenanigans - mostly HxH.
pop me a message - i love a natter!
Due to timezone tomfoolery and life getting in the way, I don't know when I'll be active. But I love rambling about fandom and hearing others do the same. Feel free to send a DM my way. We can talk about about some amazing series!
Was just searching around for UK and Ireland oldtimey heritage sites to visit. Y'know, castles. Because I've seen embarrassingly little of where I live, history is sometimes cool as well as very depressing, and local economy go brrrr.
Found out there's Killua Castle an hour or so from Dublin. Like woah.
It's just a naming coincidence, and I'd die if anyone IRL knew of the connection to my diehard weeby tendencies, but oh my.
Won't be the sole reason for me going there, but it'll definitely play a part. Someday I'll go. I must.
(oh and for anyone else is interested in hxh and its connection with castles - planning a trip to germany? the hideout where they kept kite is based on the Neuschwanstein Castle)
Random, but has anyone had an experience where someone asks to make a fic request and never follows up with providing the outline?
Just had an inactive week myself, so I understand life getting in the way. It's been 2+ weeks though so I'm a little confused.
I'm a relatively new writer, so it was pretty nice to have someone request a fic (even if I wasn't 100% sure I could fulfill it). Worried I might've made a bad impression or something.
Not trying to shame the requester, they didn't do anything wrong or say weird stuff. Just seems strange to get in contact only to leave it hanging.
Feel free to get back in contact, person who requested me. I don't bite! Hope I didn't come across as annoying in my reply and put you off 😅 it's not often I take requests, but I'm always open to hearing them.
A canon divergent AU where Leorio is a college dropout. Hisoka helps him out (in a way).
Here's Part 2, giving a little snippet of the magician's POV.
“You’ve wasted your life on a goal.”
At the expense of everyone else, Hisoka thought. Including me.
Hisoka felt more than a little malice. Taking out a maturing fruit was not on his agenda. He didn’t even have justification for it, this time.
He’d considered voicing his opinion, but his fickle nature betrayed him to silence. Emotions with no outlet were tricky, after all.
The Reaper was never so cruel. Not so petty or feeble as to hold a grudge, either.
Nothing so – he shuddered at the very thought of it – ordinary.
Plus, it never hurt to have a little mystery up in the air.
It adds to my charm~
Hisoka picked himself back up with an intentional sway to the hips. He did so like the outline.
Even so, he stuck to the backstreets when tracing the route back from the rooftop to the Arena. There had been enough fun for one night.
He would delay the picking.
Very short and I'm always worrying if I'm keeping Hisoka IC, but the writing bug caught me. Chronology and location went out the window (pretty sure the Arena and Leo are in entirely different countries). I've got a hefty longfic of these two in the drafts that I'm waiting on continuing after I've caught up + reread the manga. Don't want to mess anything up there!
A canon divergent AU where Leorio drops out of college, losing motivation. Hisoka helps him out (in a way).
Warning for a sentence of goriness. Hisoka's a scary dude.
“You and Kurapika are similar. And Gon. Especially Gon.”
“Just what do you mean by that?” Leorio asked.
Hisoka’s eyes brightened and he snapped out of his reverie.
“You’ve wasted your life on a goal.”
Leorio caught the magician’s attempt to punch down. He would punch right back.
“Aren’t you the one mooching off a college drop-out, with a fighting boner so strong you’ve ended up with the Troupe on your ass? I mean, you’ve died once already.”
“I’ve changed fate twice,” Hisoka said, “and failures don’t concern me. Why get hung up on them? You shouldn't worry about your degree - or giving me advice, however flattered I may be.”
The magician dangled his ever-longer nails, sharply.
“But if you truly disappoint me, all slivers of gut from your stomach cavity will be plucked, gummed up, and strewn across the floor.”
Leorio nodded, dumbly. He had no doubt, and with that knowledge he knew he needed to shut up.
“Now then, if you really need inspiration, I’d see to the poor boy outside. My neighbours said he had quite the rocky initiation. Sure his travel expenses weren't cheap either.”
Hisoka gently patted the doctor’s head, exiting the room with a flourish.
how was that? reckon I made hisoka a little ooc. he's more subtle and playful in his dialogue (usually) and lets his actions do the talking. but think he figured leorio needed a shock to the system to get him motivated again.
