CALL FOR INTEREST: SHEITH CREATORS DISCORD SERVER

in honor of the 2nd anniversary of ‘shiro loves you, baby’, i’m going to ask: is there any interest in me making and running a sheith discord server based around connecting and inspiring sheith content creators? we’d also maybe doing some event weeks and just lifting up/encouraging our fellow sheith fans.

POTENTIAL SERVER DETAILS:

creative dicussion channel

prompt channel

inspo channel

promo channel

possible event weeks

would be 18+

would have an application

would need a couple mods

no limits on what type of creators can apply: artists, writers, beta readers, cosplayers, voice actors, musicians, edit makers, gif creators… anything!

A CALL FOR SHEITH ARTISTS! (18+)

Hello! As many of you know by now, I am going to be making and running a discord server dedicated to connecting and inspiring Sheith creators. Many of you have already applied, which is fantastic! Thank you to those who have. 

Anyways, I was hoping to get an even balance of writers and artists on this server, especially for if we do some sort of bang event. However, there seems to be a lot more writers applying than artists currently. In order for me to keep a balance once I get the server started, I would love to have more artists apply.

Do you draw? Do you love Sheith? Maybe consider sending in an application!

PSA ON THE CREATORS SERVER...

thank you to those of you in my inbox who are actually super nice asking about it, i love y’all. yes, it will happen. yes, it’s postponed. it’s partially postponed because of some people were being really mean to me about it and i mainly became multifandom due to being sick of Voltron Fandom Brand Harassment™. partially because college is a lot and i’m trying to stay a float with that. i would like to maybe start the server around 3 weeks after the final season airs, that way we will not have to worry about or tag spoilers and everything will be all laid out. with time and patience comes good things (patience yields focus), but also it may have already been up and running if people were nice. so to those of you who have been patient, kind and positive, i thank you and hear you, but you can thank the vocal few who were mean, backhanded and hurtful for the delay.

to the real ones out there, you’re great. Juskla

when do you think we'll hear back about the creator server? i know you said early august but it's the middle of august now. not trying to pester, just wondering

apologies for the radio silence on this! ANSWER TIME: some of y'all wrote some loooong fics. it’s just taking time to get through everyone’s portfolios. i should have had a word count max for linked works, but live and learn. things are going well. though, lots of talented people so far. and i am doing my best to get through as many apps as i can each week while still maintaining the other aspects of my life. but, WOW, y’all. some of you have truly blown me away so far! very excited. sheith fandom is honestly a blessing.

Hey there. Any update on when we should expect to hear back about the sheithcreators discord? Sorry if it seems like im pestering, im just super excited and can't wait to hear.

hello, nonny! not pestering at all. thank you for asking and i am glad you are excited. i haven’t been able to log on much in the past week, and my assistant admin for the server is away on vacation, so things are going to be pushed out a little, but expect to hear back in early august. the server itself has been all set up for awhile and it looks great! it’s just taking quite a bit of time to review apps, since so many people applied. the artist applications are easy to go though, but the writer ones take a lot more time. good luck! -juskla

Don't mean to sound rude but why do people have to be following you to apply for the sheith server?

no worries, not rude at all! good question. honestly? i’m not checking, so if you don’t, there is a 90% chance i won’t notice or care. 

however, i’m going to be posting updates and answering questions about the server (like this) in the time being, and it will be helpful to be following me so that you see them and stay in the know. if you don’t want to follow, that’s fine, but then i would just pop on over to check my blog every now and then to see any answers or updates you may have missed! thanks :D

for the sheith creators discord server application, since we need to provide examples of our art, does that mean my application could be rejected if my art isn't good enough?

hey there, nonny! i answered this question privately before, so let me just copy and paste here what i told them: it’s true that not everyone who applies will get in, but i’m not judging creators by technical skill alone. that would not be fair. i am looking for things like heart, creativity and enthusiasm too. you definitely don’t have to be van gogh or shakespeare to get an invite to the server:) -juskla
