Thank goodness Anna was helpful to somebody, at least. She was used to inadvertently causing trouble most places. But hey, she was used to having to repeat herself, and this girl seemed pretty fun. If you were always forgetting, that meant you always ran into something new, right? “It’s no problem. You wanna, like, go out and get something to snack on? I’m in the mood for a shake.”

It’s a good thing he’s asleep or they’d be in the same predicament as the earlier fiasco.  Actually, it might be better that he’s asleep.  A small smile unhindered by any hidden negativity crosses his face, and that might even be an unintelligible murmur of her name.

So close, and yet so far.  The door to freedom was just in reach when she comes racing out of nowhere (no seriously, how the heck did she get here so fast?).  Plan A has failed him and Plan B is non-existent so now what?

It’s looking more and more like he’s going to have to concede defeat, but that just can’t happen.  Uh-uh.  Not even a swimsuit will help.
