because here's the thing, gia loves and cares for their friends (given this is junior year gia, ace could very well be their boyfriend at this point). gia will get their hands dirty and generally do some not great things for the people they care about.
but also they don't care who you are. do not get in their way.
anyway timeline wise, this happens their junior year. ace and gia don’t get their shit together until after the sdc of that year. is this the moment where i reveal that gia is actually a massive fucking flirt with their partners?
(i had this little scene pop into my head kinda early into working on other stuff for wishmaster. i guess this can sorta count as the first part of the vignette for gia’s card…? i’d like to think this is sometime not long after these two officially get together.)
i’ve been wanting to do a redraw of this scene for a while because i think about this scene so much and how honestly ruby and sapphire in this episode really are ace and gia. just the way they both react to something that bothers them in different ways (even if they might have the SAME OPINION on something) and how it will cause them to butt heads in a very similar way ruby and sapphire do.

i just dfjkahsdfsdff i dunno i reread rose-red tyrant and the way ace is so hot-blooded in comparison to gia (seemingly anyway and especially in the beginning) i just love playing with that.
