I was wondering. Are there other creatures like Merilee? Are they a common/ rare species that just carry galaxies ?
I imagine they are fairly rare but there are others! I recall trying to make another dragon similar to Merrilee but they were much smaller and a different color. I never nailed down the design but it gave me the idea that there could be other galaxy carrying dragons.
There are smaller star dragons as well who sometimes accompany them.
Im still working it out but there are definitely ideas kinda starting to come together.

Also can I state....2 years for a 4 minute film is actually pretty damn fast....I was honestly shocked you were done already and that it was 4mins long.
AW why thank you!
I never went to animation school and most of the time I heard from my animation student friends is that usually it would take them more than 8 months to finish a 2-4 minutes animation film. Most of them sit down animating nonstop to finish it, sometimes even asked for additional helps from friends (be it paid or not paid at all).
I have been crazy busy working in the animation industry for the past few years, yet I decided to take this challenge to make the puyo animation (one of the reasons is because I want to see how fast I can finish it alone). And now that I’ve experienced it, I fully know my limit and can carefully plan stuff for the next big projects like this in the future.
I JUST got into mother 3 and saw the whole game and the fact that you’re drawing Lucas and Red gives me life
Lucas and Red good thank you for coming to my TED talk ;;w;;
I just thought of this now. The dreamons will never have the issue of their earbuds falling out or getting snagged and falling out when listening to music because their ears hands hold them in. . .
I feel like this is very true and yet there would be those who are still not quite that deft with their extra limbs and still manage to let earbuds fall out. Much to the chagrin of others who just look at them and wonder ‘How...’

Thank you for the suggestion! I think you may be right, and I’m assuming there must be plenty of different styles and ways to place bones within the rig? I remember a long time ago I tried to actually search how Rise of TMNT was animated and didn’t get a straight answer. I think my best example for what I’m looking for is that animation style say compared to Steven universe? SU has a more natural/ simplist looking walk while TMNT is pretty “bouncy”. Would say they’re made with the same methods?
Oh! Continuing from that second ask I sent. TMNT is more bouncy while your Puyo animation seemed more “natural” hopefully that helps a bit more with what I’m looking for since you’ve worked on both of these projects haha
I think there’s youtube video on how we normally animate on the show? Not entirely sure but I have heard of it. Basically, we animate frame by frame on Rise of the TMNT, no cheating. We do use the rig/peg occasionally but those are mostly used for comedic purposes. The animation techniques in Rise show are very much inspired by shows from Studio Trigger or Gainax, which is fast and snappy and also like you said ‘bouncy’. Though I made sure my animated shots on Rise show and puyo animation aren’t TOO bouncy (since I normally would get told to fix my turtle shot if I do that *laughs*). So if you ask me, Rise animation is VERY different compared to SU.
