The latter. I mean, I’m not going to lie, I love when I don’t have to work a lot. But it also makes me feel bad. Like when I was in English classes in high school I’d be so bored because I already knew English and it wasn’t a challenge for me, but I also felt bad because the other students were working hard and mostly not really improving much while I was just sitting there doing nothing.

What made you want to learn Dutch? :)
Well, I could say it’s because I have some dutch friends which I do but … to be completely honest it’s mainly because I felt like learning an “easy” language as well because while I’m not planning on giving up on Japanese, Dutch is definitely more rewarding in the moment. German is my native language and I know chunks of Afrikaans so Dutch isn’t really much of a challenge. Plus, I think it’s a funny language. Basically like German on drugs. So I thought, why not learn it?
