I am beating my perfectionism by making these type of portraits. Only 17 hours spent on this one!
Well let's get rambling
Tassadit (Tah-sah-deet) is a Banu Haqim who used to be in the warrior caste (though she still likes to describe herself that way). She used to be independent like the rest of her Clan, but at some point, in her journey she decided to turn her back. Especially after the Banu Haqim joined the Camarilla. Thus, she has been sporting the title antitribu for over 50 years now. Her rank in the Sabbat? Well, wouldn't you like to know... Her generation is also kept a secret from most people. That includes you, dear reader.
She is eerily quiet most of the time. Though she proudly is Kabyle, she refuses to wear jewellery in uncertain situations since it could compromise her stalking and lurking. Her wearing jewellery around you could be interpreted as a sign of trust. Even without her trust, you may still call her "Tass" if "Tassadit" is too hard for you to pronounce.... that doesn't mean she won't judge you for it.
She is the Sire of a young, duskborn childe whose name is Odette. Tass is not the actual Sire of Odette, and she would never call Odette her childe... she tends to use the words daughter and granddaughter. No one except the Archbishop knows where Odette is from. Why would an Archbishop allow such insolence? Letting a duskborn into the ranks and getting taught by one of the most valuable assassins? A Tzimisce Archbishop has a higher "tolerance" for experimentation, especially since now there are a few True Fae running around to assist him and his insidious endeavors.
Tass runs a 24-hr flower shop with Odette. Conveniently, that shop is placed directly to the left of the library that is owned by Theodore, a newcomer to the Sabbat only having spent 25 years under the thumb of the L.A. Archbishop.
Odette runs the day shift while Tass does the night shift. Why would a flower shop be open 24 hours? Maybe a man must apologize to his mistress or a prostitute he would like to keep. Perhaps from a person that came home too late. It might even be for someone who would like to visit a grave at that hour. Well, nonetheless... they all get judged by Tass. This is her territory, of course. You wouldn't refuse the nosy questions of a lovely grandma, would you? If you are the drink of the night, you will only realize once it's too late.
Surely that's not it with the flower shop, right? Oh, you are correct! That's not the only thing that is wrong with the flower shop. Indeed, right below the shop are multiple floors. Those long, rectangular basements are all filled with various plants of old and of new. Fitting for a Banu Haqim, they are mostly farms for poisons, whether that be supernatural poisons or regular, mortal-known ones. And, of course, for a beloved thin-blood child, there is also an entire section for alchemical experiments and production.
Lothar Gruber (Any/All pronouns, but they/them for simplicity)
I don't always have specific characters in mind when I create my characters so this was fun :3
And I obviously added some other inspirations
Obviously for the Kiasyd bane I needed inspiration for their curse which I took off the original V20 bloodline sheet!
Lisbeth Salander (played by Noomi Rapace in this picture) is one of the most tortured characters I know. She is from the Millennium novel series (which did get adapted into movies). She inspired Lothar's mistrust in humans and anxiety. Also her self-loathing. All thanks to PTSD which Lothy also has.
Now we come to the other side which is Lothy being inspired by Entrapta from She-Ra. They can be incredibly bubbly and passionate like Entrapta, but that is often masked by Lothy's intense anxiety and PTSD.
Siouxsie obviously inspired Lothy's age, politics, aesthetic and personal taste which belongs to the goth scene.
Realizing that I would have to give Lothy big ole bug eyes made me figure that I couldn't do specifically bug-themed things for them since that would hurt the entire cute, held-back and tortured concept, so I opted to view and present Lothy as a seal in most ways. Their eyes still ARE weird/upsetting/supernatural since that is their Bane but I still wanted the innocent idea behind it.
The last image is the single "Panic attacks in paradise" and "Weedkiller" both by Ashnikko. Specifically the song "Burning Star" inspired me to develope Lothar further. I can't really say in what way tbh. Just listen to the songs maybe you'll get it? ( TwT)
