various stamps i've made for myself
The Lamplighter doesn't have a real name. He was going to pick out a new one (trans), but then everyone kept calling him the Lamplighter and it worked so he never got around to that. He also goes by 'Plight' as a nickname.
The Shepherd has a perfectly normal name (I'm thinking Marie). She's fine with using it but mainly just calls herself the Shepherd because it's cool and mysterious.
The Watcher's real name is the Watcher. It's on her birth certificate and everything. That's what she tells people, anyways.
George is George's whole name and she likes it, no it's not short for anything, yes her parents were fully aware it's a boy's name, stop asking.
The Author's real name was something really dumb, which is why he never told anyone it ever. Only his kids know it and they've been sworn to secrecy.
Prototype feels neutral about his full name but likes 'Proto' as a nickname.
Prophetbot doesn't care about his name because he has not been tamed. If he did get tamed, he'd keep the name (because he'd be proud of his role helping the Messiah).
Shoot this has been sitting in my inbox for a while sry-
These are all so cool though... omnomnom...
The Shepherd is originally from the Refuge, but she moved to the Glen and took up her job solely so she had an excuse to make ram puns.
Hehe true to me
The Shepherd and the Watcher are aware of the Simulation but don't feel the need to say anything about it.
Ooo... because of their awareness of the outside world, I presume?
After Solstice, the Shepherd starts putting up more graffiti in the Refuge (as a hobby). The Lamplighter is not happy about this, since he's the one who has to clean it up. They end up having a slightly cartoon-esque rivalry.
Also, adding to the meta abilities headcanon (not my ask but I agree with it), the Shepherd can teleport. Either that or she has a weird magic portal from the Glen to the secret ram room. If she can teleport, she only does it when nobody's watching.
With that, the Shepherd and the Lamplighter do have some things in common—weird meta abilities and going by their job titles instead of names. Maybe they become friends eventually.
Friendly rivalry!
