Gosh, 9 years ago today, I learned how to edit photos with selective colour. Selective colour is when you turn most of the original colour image black and white but leave a selection of the image/pixels in colour. I can’t say I’ve used it very often since then, because as a skill, it doesn’t really surface within my authentic colourful, natural relaxed style of photography, but I still like this image. 😊 the cheerfully bright yellow rose was fluttering around in the breeze, in a churchyard. Everything else was a little dull by comparison (not surprisingly really!) so this image worked well for me to be edited with selective colour editing. Selective colour editing is useful for highlighting a particular object or subject in an image but I love to capture feelings / connections / emotions or tell a story with my photos and I find that either creating the whole image in black and white or keeping it all in colour works better for me and for my wedding couples and personal branding photography clients. What about you? What do you think of selective colour editing? I’d love to know in the comments below, Do you like this style of editing a photo? . . . #personalbrandingphotographerlondon #personalbrandingphotography #womenbusinessowner #Entrepreneurher #shepreneurs #Businesshelp #buildinganempire #fempreneurship #smallbusinessuk #uxbridgephotographer #watfordbusiness #femalebusinessowner #womeninbusinessUK #femalebusiness (at West London) https://www.instagram.com/p/CU65KZvsekr/?utm_medium=tumblr
