Candy Kitchen - Bridgehampton, The Hamptons
Today is my last day in the Hamptons and I decided to try Candy Kitchen. I have always wanted to go inside because of it's name. Unfortunately, it was not covered with candy, but instead a cute retro diner that sold home made ice cream.
There were a variety of flavors and sherberts, but no dairy free options. They had pretty standard flavors, nothing too original. I tried the Oreo flavor. It was good, but tasted pretty milky to me. There wasn't much vanilla flavor, it just tasted like milk and cookies. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't my taste. The ice cream also melted a bit, it wasn't as bad as John's Drive-In, but I had to eat it a bit quicker than I would have liked. The price for a small ice cream cone was about $4.30.
The decor of this place was cute, it had a retro diner vibe. You could seat yourself and order some breakfast/lunch/dinner. It was also normal to just go in and grab ice cream. It had a very relaxed feel. I would rate my overall enjoyment at a 6, it was good, but not great.
