A Study in Sherlock
TW: mental health issues, schizophrenia
Sherlock Holmes, being the clever detective he is, has his memories, and it drives him insane. This is one case he cannot solve with scientific reasoning or facts. He had absolutely not idea how he arrived in New York, but he has a feeling someone needs him there. The last thing he remembers is helping his deranged sister out of her schizophrenic episode and back into Sherrinford, where can she can receive proper help this time.
The only thing Sherlock has changed about his life is that he wants to remain more cautious, more low-profile...which is definitely hard for him. He quite liked having all the attention, even if being around masses of people was not his favorite setting. Another change in his life is the lack of a certain army doctor...He would never admit to it, but he’s finding it increasingly difficult to carry on in life without his best friend John Watson. He even misses the others such as Gavin Greg Lestrade, Molly Hooper, and Mrs. Hudson. He needs them more than he cares to admit to himself.
That’s what propelled him to keep solving mysteries. He remains a consulting detective in order to gather more information on this facade of New York City, or maybe to gain information on the location of any of his friends. But those who seek his help, seek it with caution. He’s still the arrogant, unsentimental, high functioning sociopath everyone knows in love.
Am I the only one who gets goosebumps with the Sherlock intro?
What is this detail that carries across the intros for all three series of Sherlock?
I think it looks like the back of one of John's shirts, but I would love to hear other options?
In the series 1 intro, Sherlock is looking at (John's back) from a distance:
In the series 2 intro, Sherlock is reaching for (John's back)
The series 3 intro, is a warmer variation on this shot from the series two intro (Getting warmer...):
Sherlock BBC Meets Metal (by 331Erock)
I don't know how many Sherlockians are also metal heads like me, but I'm willing to bet there's more than a handful of you out there. SO ENJOY THIS RAD SHIT! (also his signature wink totally fits because.....)
Best thing ever!
